6:00 PM - 8:00 PMTemple ShalomA text study with Rabbi Rachel Ackerman
Sponsored by Brotherhood, Sisterhood and Renaissance Group
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 15 6-8 PM
Jewish tradition has a long history of being gender expansive, with references to God, our ancestors, and terminology that go beyond binary terms. In our secular world, Shakespeare used “they” as a singular pronoun. Third genders have been a part of many cultures for centuries. And today, we have many people in our synagogue, local, national worldwide communities who use nonbinary pronouns.
Join us as we look at gender diversity through Jewish texts and gain a better understanding of gender diversity in our own communities.
A “light supper” will be served. Please Register by March 13.
